Having lived in Buenos Aires for several years I was able to experience tango masters such as Susanna Miller, Tete Rusconi, Jorge Firpo and Carlos Gavito among my instructors and sources of inspiration. Dancing and teaching with my partner Tomás Antonio Reyes a.o. in the Swiss Embassy of Buenos Aires and the Centro Cultural Rojas made me even more familiar with the world of tango.
One of my profoundest experiences was the birthday celebration of of the legendary Carmencita Calderon in Salon Canning: I still am moved from the sight of tango, danced with style and elegance by all over 80-year-olds at two o’clock in the morning…
The Tango – these are two serious faces and four legs that amuse themselves.
Argentinian tango dancer Dolores is booked for a dance show.
As her dance partner leaves her in the lurch, she begins to improvise her own show and tells you from the sewing box. She has a solution for everything, builds a dance partner without a head, entangles with her own emotions and introduces the audience into the world of tango. Between closeness and distance, man and woman, humor and tragedy, head and heart she leads the public on the high ropes of seduction.
A piece that -with a wink at human being- stimulates the audience to laugh and dream.
